Why We Like It

Whether you're skiing, hiking or running, Smartwool Classic Thermal Merino 3/4 base layer bottoms provide reliable comfort and breathability with an updated fit to minimize sag and keep you going. Merino helps regulate temperature and moisture without requiring a bulky layer.

The Lab Fit Tip

Wear the Classic Thermal Merino Base Layer 3/4 Bottom close to the skin without folds under boots or outerwear. Add warmth with a midlayer rather than oversizing the base layer and reducing moisture transfer.
